The Harrison Township Recreation Commission is inviting residents to participate in the Memorial Bench Program. A memorial bench is simply a bench in a public place that is engraved with your loved one’s name and any other message. There is not a criteria that needs to be met when commemorating someone or a group of individuals.
The memorial benches are constructed of weather-resistant Trex composite wood, and you will have up to three (3) boards for engraving. The Recreation Commission is using all of the benches within Ella Harris Park for this program. There are several benches near the pavilion and playground area and there are also other benches closer to the baseball fields and walking trail.
The Recreation Commission is partnering with the local Mullica Hill business, Sawdust Woodworking, located at 14 N Main Street for all engravings. Jeremy Binkley is the owner and will be working hand-in-hand with the Public Works Department and the Recreation Commission to create these new beautiful benches at Ella Harris park.
The Recreation Commission will contact you within 2 days after receiving your order to personally go over the engraving of your memorial bench. However, if you have questions before placing your order please call their office at 856-223-8777.
