Chris Raab, HTFD Volunteer and Your Hometown Hero of the Week

Loving father, effective manager and a local hometown hero fighting fires in Mullica Hill. Learn more about Chris Raab, local volunteer firefighter, in this installment of Hometown Heroes!

Today, we get to know a little bit more about our local volunteer firefighter Chris Raab. He has been living happily in Harrison Township since 2010 with his wife and two kids. When Chris isn’t putting out fires, he’s helping manage his team at an engineering firm as a Senior Manager.

Chris had wanted to volunteer as a firefighter for some time. He finally followed his passion in 2017 and joined the Ewan Volunteer Fire Company. Shortly after joining, Chris graduated from the Gloucester County Fire Academy in 2018, receiving his New Jersey Firefighter 1 Certification.

There is a strong sense of satisfaction that comes from supporting the community and being part of a “brotherhood” of firefighters.
