Shining a Spotlight on the Remarkable in Harrison Township: Aaryn Battle

A new addition to my Mayor's Minutes, I shine the spotlight on remarkable individuals in Harrison Township!

To Our Harrison Family,

Today I am introducing a new addition to the Mayor’s Minutes, which we will feature from time-to-time. The goal is to shine the Spotlight on remarkable individuals in our town as a way to recognize their efforts and for all of us to become more familiar with each other.

Aaryn Battle resides in Mullica Hill with her family, who are all dedicated members of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church. The 15-year-old Sophomore at Camden Catholic High School is a standout student-athlete who loves to participate in church activities and helps with the audio & visuals for the ministry at Mount Calvary. In her free time, she loves to experiment with baking and creating interesting food dishes. One of Aaryn’s hidden talents is playing the drums and other percussion instruments, but she admits to a secret “retail therapy” fixation that she shares with her big brother. She loves to shop!

A standout athlete, Aaryn spends a great deal of her time in the gym working on her craft — basketball. As a Freshman starter in 2020, Aaryn was recognized for her outstanding contributions to the Clearview Girls Basketball team in her first season as a varsity player. Among her many accolades, she was selected as First Team All Tri-County Conference and has continued to excel at Camden Catholic this season. A young woman of many talents, who loves school, sports, and her community, Aaryn Battle is worthy of our first Remarkable Spotlight.
