Fun Kids Activities This Winter

The Rec. Commission offers winter activities for the little ones, Tumblin Tots, where children ages 2 to 5 years will exercise hidden within play and their annual swim programs for children 6 months to 7 years+, offering several options from Learn to Swim classes to their Developmental Swim Team.

Special Olympics Young Athletes

This FREE, inclusive sports program is open to children between the ages of 2 and 7! Each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and wear athletic shoes. Parents of kids with intellectual disabilities can sign their athletes up today!

90-Second Newbery Film Festival

James Kennedy, creator of the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival, will show future movie-makers between the ages of 9-18 how to make a 90-second film that recreates the plot of Newbery Award–winning books!

Special Author Storytime

In recognition of Anti-Bullying Month, local author Adrienne M. Brown will read her book “Penelope Takes Her Power Back”. Activity to follow the reading. The event is for ages 6 and up.
