To Our Harrison Family,
This week we return to our new Remarkable Spotlight series and feature Clearview’s annual Hoagies 4 Hope campaign, which began in 2015. Since then, the fundraiser has netted more than $100,000 for local individuals navigating financial hardships. Last year’s event championed a local teacher who needed (and eventually received) a bone marrow transplant. This year’s proceeds will reach a middle school student and a Clearview High School graduate who are battling chronic illnesses.
Clearview teaching staff members, Paul Sommers, Christina Boody and Mike Wolk serve as advisors for the student-run event each year. This year’s student Co-Chairs are Clearview Juniors, Mary Moraca and Gavin Corley. I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Sommers, Mary and Gavin about this year’s event earlier this week. Take a few minutes to watch our interview as we shine our Remarkable Spotlight on these two young people and the Hoagies 4 Hope campaign.
Together for Harrison Township,
