To our Harrison Family,
Harrison Township has many great organizations that do amazing work on behalf of our community. Some of these organizations include our local food bank, Your Place at Table, Harrison Township Youth sports programs run by volunteers, the Recreation Committee who ensures fun activities and events throughout the year (including the award-winning Lights on Main) and so many other groups who contribute to making our little town a special place.
Today, I want to tell you about another organization that you may or may not be familiar with, the Mullica Hill Business Association (MHBA). The MHBA is made up of many of our local merchants who work together to make our town a “destination”, often in unison with the Recreation Commission and other organizations within Harrison Township and members of the Committee. They are responsible for launching our Valentine’s Day tradition, the popular Chocolate Walk, the annual Car Show on Main (planned this year for Sept. 19) and most recently Shopping Under the Stars.
Shopping Under the Stars is where a growing number of our Main Street Merchants are open Thursdays until 9pm, with many offering sales. The evening often includes entertainment, food trucks and fun themes.
Tonight’s Shopping Under the Stars is becoming Shopping Under the Star Wars in which our Main Street will be invaded by Stormtroopers and other Intergalactic Characters. There will be food trucks, including the famous Mama Meatballs and the delicious The Walking Taco, with live music. It’s sure to be a fun family event. You can find more details here.
