Mayor’s Minutes

This Saturday, we celebrate Harrison Township Day aptly dubbed, Celebration on Main. Be sure to stop by for all day fun!

To Our Harrison Family,

This Saturday, on Main Street, we celebrate Harrison Township Day aptly dubbed, Celebration on Main. The festivities were relocated from Ellis Harris Park to Main Street a few years ago. I have fond memories of my now adult daughters jumping in the bouncy houses at the park location. For me the move to Main Street was appropriate, as it includes the participation of our merchants, who offer “mini destinations” with fun activities at their locations. In addition, township businesses not located on Main Street often partner with those who are. Others set up at the Meet & Greet Pop-Up area with local artisan crafters at Mullica Hill Friends Meeting.  And don’t worry; there are still bouncy houses along with free amusements, live entertainment, food trucks, a firework spectacular and so much more. You can view all the activities in the Official Celebration on Main Fun Guide.

This day of fun would not be possible without the Recreation Commission, led by Chairman Robert Johnson, our Recreation Coordinator Sharon Chew, the many volunteers and our generous sponsors listed below. A heartfelt thank you to all of you!

This annual tradition has become a family favorite in The Hill and gives us a chance to celebrate this very special place we call home, together as a community.  On behalf of Deputy Mayor Julie DeLaurentis, Committeewoman Michelle Powell, Committeeman John Williams, and Committeeman Adam Wingate, we invite you and your family to join us on Main Street, Saturday for this wonderful day… our day… Harrison Township Day!

Together for Harrison Township,
Lou Manzo
Your Mayor
